About

Barbara McCullough-Jones Managing Director

I have served nearly 30 years as a nonprofit executive director at local, state, national  and international levels. I have raised millions of dollars through grants, donor programs, special events and fee-for-service contracts. I have successfully secured funds through Federal, State, City and County governments as well as foundations, businesses and individual donors.

My career has been diverse as are my personal interests. I have led international gatherings of 5,000+ conference attendees for an 8-day music festival and lobbied elected officials to secure basic human rights. I rode garbage trucks while designing work training programs for inner city young adults and have written business plans for diverse organizations.

I am a creative problem solver with a keen understanding of diversified funding systems. I am an experienced researcher adept at securing funding to meet the operating, program, capital and capacity-building needs of local, national and international programs and organizations.

My nonprofit experience includes serving on Boards of Directors such as the Area Agency on Aging, Tempe Human Relations Commission, National Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Centers (CenterLink), Lincoln Family YMCA and Clean Elections Institute. I am humbled to have received numerous honors and awards, including the State of California Woman of the Year for 2002.

In my spare time I enjoy genealogy research, camping, sustainable gardening and photography.
